Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your purchase and use of the NIR Spectroscopy online course (the "Course") offered by Vitaly Kirkpatrick d/b/a SpectroScience ("we," "us"). By buying the Course or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

The offer

The Course is a single offer: one payment, no subscription, and no free plan. The price is $99 USD, paid once. You will never be billed again for the Course. Spectra Lab and the course bundle, when they are on sale, are also one-time payments covered by these terms and by the same refund window. The Course teaches near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy for food, feed and agriculture laboratories.

Course access and license

You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the Course for your own learning. You may not share your login, resell the Course, or post course materials publicly. Lessons, quizzes, calculators, templates and handouts are our copyrighted materials. Do not publish a copy of any lesson.

Lifetime access. "Lifetime access" means access for as long as we continue to offer the Course. If we ever stop offering the Course, we will give current students at least 90 days notice and continued access to the materials, or a pro-rated refund for the unused part of the price, as described in our Refund Policy.

Price and payment

The price shown at checkout is the price you pay. Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.

Refunds

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. The full wording is in our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.

Results, claims and the AI assistant

Results. The Course teaches methods. It does not guarantee any job, grade, certification or business result.

Certificate of Completion. A SpectroScience Certificate of Completion confirms only that you completed the applicable noncredit training course. It is not a degree, diploma, academic credit, accredited credential, professional license, industry certification, continuing-education unit (CEU) or continuing-education credit, and it is not approved by any government agency, licensing body or accreditor. SpectroScience is a private company that teaches practical skills; it is not a school, college or accredited educational institution. We make no representation that any employer, regulator, school or professional body will accept or recognize the certificate. Lesson examples are illustrations. Any comparison of price or content with other courses reflects our own view unless we say otherwise.

AI assistant. The Course includes an AI teaching assistant. Its answers can be wrong. It does not replace a qualified instructor, a lab method validation or safety guidance. You are responsible for checking results against your own instruments and procedures.

Acceptable use

Use the Course lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to bypass access controls, scrape course content, share accounts, or interfere with the site or other students.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Utah County, Utah.
