Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for SpectroScience: what we collect, why, which service providers process it, your rights, retention, cookies, the AI assistant and children.

Effective date: October 15, 2026. Operated by Vitaly Kirkpatrick d/b/a SpectroScience. Questions: [email protected].

These terms are the SpectroScience launch version. CloviLegal, our legal review service, is aligning them with the CloviTek master terms; the merged version will replace this page and the effective date above will change.

What we collect

We collect the name and email you give us when you request a sample lesson, join a waitlist, enroll or create an account; your payment details, which the payment processor collects (we get a receipt and the last four digits); your course progress and quiz scores; and technical data (IP address, browser, pages viewed) through analytics. We use this information to run the Course, send course emails you asked for, answer your questions, and keep the site secure.

Service providers (data processors)

We use these service providers to process data for us: Stripe (payments); Umami (self-hosted website analytics, no advertising cookies); Google Tag Manager; Cloudflare (security and bot checks); Gumlet (video hosting); CloviTek consent logging (records your cookie choice); and Emailit (email). Meta (Facebook pixel) receives page-view data only if you accept marketing cookies. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

Cookies are grouped as necessary, analytics and marketing. You choose with Accept all or Reject all on the banner. Details are in the Cookie Notice.

Waitlist and email

If you join a waitlist, we email you about the Course. Each email has an unsubscribe link. When you give us your email we use it to send you that course information; you can unsubscribe at any time.

AI assistant

The Course includes an AI teaching assistant. You are chatting with an AI, not a person. Messages you send are processed by third-party AI model providers reached through the CloviTek AI gateway (currently open models hosted by OpenRouter) to create an answer and are kept for 30 days.

Your rights, retention and children

You may ask us to see, correct or delete your information, or to opt out of marketing. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and to delete. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sharing. Email [email protected]. We keep account and course records for as long as your account is active and for 7 years after, for tax and dispute records. The Course is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
